The Orlando Valkyries just flipped the script. From tied for the worst record last year to lifting the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation Championship trophy.
THE TURNAROUND
On May 11, they took down the Indy Ignite 3-1. This wasn't just any win. This was a statement. A million-dollar prize and a key to the City of Orlando from Mayor Buddy Dyer? Yeah, they earned it. The city went all out to honor them on May 15.
A CITY CELEBRATES
Fans and officials filled the City Hall. Allison Doolittle, a fan and former high school player, nailed it: "It’s just so fun to support them, to see their level of play, to know how hard they’ve worked." And you could feel it coming. The energy, the pride, the recognition.
FROM WORST TO FIRST
Last season, the Valkyries were at rock bottom. Tied for the worst record? Talk about a comeback. They showed grit and growth. Other teams had no answer for their rise.
THE HOT TAKE
Let's be real—this is just the beginning. The Valkyries have set a new standard. Keep an eye on them. And from here... it's only up.
