The 2026 Major League Volleyball (MLV) season has launched with a bang, and if you thought this was just another year, think again. Omaha Supernovas are making sure everyone knows they're not to be messed with.

OMAHA TAKES CONTROL

The Supernovas have been a force, kicking things off with a 3-0 sweep of the San Diego Mojo at the CHI Health Center. They didn't stop there. Their 3-1 victory over the Columbus Fury showed they're here to dominate.

Coach Sarah Johnson has this squad firing on all cylinders. "We're just getting started," she said. And you could feel it. The energy, the precision. This team is a problem.

FIERCE COMPETITION

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Vibe and the Indy Ignite are keeping things interesting. Atlanta's 3-2 win over the Supernovas proved they're not backing down. And then there's Indy. They took down the Dallas Pulse 3-1 and the Fury 3-2. Outside hitter Jordan Thompson is leading the charge with clutch plays.

PLAYOFF IMPLICATIONS

With the season running through May 3, every match counts. The merger with the Pro Volleyball Federation means more talent, more competition, and more at stake. This isn't just about winning games. It's about setting the tone for the playoffs. And right now, Omaha is doing just that.

The question is, can anyone keep up? As the season unfolds, one thing's for sure: the Supernovas are setting the standard.

And from here… it's only getting hotter.
