Wisconsin volleyball isn't just playing the game, they're running the show. Averaging a whopping 8,620 fans per match, the Badgers have outpaced everyone in NCAA volleyball attendance, narrowly edging past Nebraska's 8,602.
Wisconsin's Big Numbers
The crowd size isn't the only thing blowing up. Wisconsin is on track to break its own attendance records, demolishing their previous best of 7,761 set in 2022. If they hold this pace, they'll not only lead the nation but snap a six-year streak of finishing second.
And the financials? Straight up massive. "We're really, really excited; we're going to exceed $2 million in volleyball ticket sales for the first time ever," Mitchell Pinta, Wisconsin's deputy athletic director, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. That's a 25% jump from two years ago. Let’s be real, that’s not just growth, that’s a statement.
Demand Only Skyrockets
The buzz isn't slowing down. "If there’s a saturation point on the demand for Wisconsin volleyball, we certainly have not seen it yet," added Pinta.
