Volleyball's 2026 season isn't just a schedule. It's a takeover.
July: The Game-Changer
Remember when tryouts clashed with high school playoffs? Not anymore. July tryouts have flipped the script. Coaches are hyped. Players get a real preseason. Parents, brace yourself: commitment starts now.
Walker, a former player, learned the hard way. His coach called him out for a two-inch vertical drop after a lazy summer. "That’s not a summer—that’s a setback," his coach said. You don't want to be in Walker's shoes come July.
The Cost of Commitment
July is just the start. Clubs run from $2,200 to $10,500 depending on travel. From December to May, you're in tournament mode, with USAV Junior Nationals as the cherry on top in June or early July. Want in? Budget wisely.
High School Season: A Different Beast
For high schoolers, August is crunch time. Tryouts launch in early August, with the season wrapping by mid-November. It's a sprint, not a marathon. The varsity level follows a best-of-five set format, while JV keeps it best-of-three.
And let's talk chemistry. High school ball isn't just about skill; it's about building a team. Walker learned more from his senior teammates than any clinic could teach.
Why This Matters
This isn't just any season. It's a full reset. New tryout schedules. New team dynamics. If you're not ready by July, you're already behind. Straight up dominant teams are prepping now.
The volleyball world is shifting. Are you?
That'll do it.
