USA Volleyball just dropped some serious news. 2025 is shaping up to be the year that sets the stage for future Olympians. We've got dates, locations, and a who's who of coaching staff ready to take on the world.

2025: A Year for the Ages

The U.S. boys and men’s teams are gearing up to compete at the U19, U21, and U23 levels. And here's the kicker: it's a World Championship year. That means facing off against the planet's best.

  • Boys U19 World Championship: July 22–Aug. 4 in Uzbekistan
  • Men’s U21 World Championship: Aug. 5–18 in China

Last time at the Boys U19 World Championship, the U.S. snagged its best-ever finish. Fourth place. They're coming for more.

The Karch Kiraly Factor

Karch Kiraly, the U.S. Men’s National Team Head Coach, is hyped. "2025 presents an incredible opportunity," Kiraly said. "It marks the start of a new Olympic cycle leading to a rare and special moment—an Olympic Games hosted in the United States." You could feel it coming.

Kiraly knows what he's talking about. His own U21 days opened his eyes to the global game. Now he's ready to pass that passion on to the next generation.

The Coaches in Charge

Here's who will be running the show:

  • Boys U19 World Championship: Head Coach Charlie Sullivan (Springfield), with Assistant Coaches Jonah Carson (MVVC) and Patrick Shawaryn (Penn State).
  • Men’s U21 Pan American Cup: Head Coach John Hawks (UCLA), Assistant Coaches Donan Cruz (Ball State) and Matthew Pollock (Pepperdine).

These guys are no joke. They're here to handle business and prep these young guns for the big time.

What's Next?

Training kicks off soon, with sessions in Anaheim, Colorado Springs, and even Madrid. It's all about building chemistry and getting these squads ready to compete at the highest level.

And just like that, it's go time. 2025 is set to be a game-changer. Watch out, world.

That'll do it.
