The U.S. Women's National Team went head-to-head with the Dominican Republic in the Volleyball Nations League and came out swinging. A 3-1 victory (23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-20) isn’t just a win. It’s a statement.
Skinner Runs the Show
Avery Skinner wasn't just playing. She was putting on a clinic. With 18 points on 15 kills, two aces, and a block, Skinner led the U.S. to their second victory in as many nights. Her performance? Straight up dominant.
Tia Jimerson made her VNL debut unforgettable, sharing the match-high with four blocks and adding nine kills plus an ace. "It's just about us being in system," Jimerson said. "(Jordyn) Poulter feeding it to me."
Poulter's Precision
Speaking of Jordyn Poulter, her 39 assists were masterclass. She ran the offense like a maestro, finding Skinner, Jimerson, and others with ease. It’s no wonder the U.S. led in every major stat: 50-41 in kills, 14-10 in blocks, and 6-4 in aces.
Morgan Hentz? A defensive wizard with 13 digs. Logan Eggleston chipped in with 10 kills, while Stephanie Samedy added eight points. Everyone played their part.
