The U.S. Women's U21 team just showed the world what dominance looks like. A clean 3-0 sweep over Chile at the 2025 NORCECA Pan American Cup in San Jose, Costa Rica, sealed their third straight title. They didn't just win, they crushed it.
Total Domination
Brooklyn DeLeye? MVP and the first Best Outside Hitter. This team didn't drop a single set in the entire tournament. Yeah, you read that right. They ran the show from start to finish and left no doubt about who was in charge.
The U.S. out-hit Chile with a mind-blowing .516 hitting percentage. Favor Anyanwu and Jadyn Livings led the charge with 13 points each. Anyanwu even sealed the deal with a championship-clinching ace.
"I'm happy for the group to come together over two weeks and play well in the final against a good Chile team," said Head Coach Heather Olmstead. "Everyone contributed, and I was glad how they kept their focus the whole match."
Game-Changing Plays
It was a clinic in volleyball. The U.S. smashed 42 kills to Chile's 15, dominated the net with 10 blocks to 2, and served up 8 aces. Chile? They had no answer for that.
