The U.S. Men's National Team is back on home soil, and they're ready to make a statement. Four Olympians are stepping onto the court for the first time this season at the Volleyball Nations League Week 2 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Erik Shoji, Micah Ma’a, Kyle Ensing, and Jeff Jendryk headline a roster that's looking to shake things up.

A Homecoming with a Purpose

It's been since 2023 that the U.S. Men have played in front of a home crowd. NOW Arena knows the stakes, having hosted VNL action in 2018 and the finals in 2019. The crowd? Hungry. Matches against Poland and Italy are the hot tickets, with the Poland game already sold out.

The U.S. sits at 2-2 after Week 1, but they're facing some of the best right now. Poland is 4-0, strutting at the top of the standings, while Italy sits at a strong 3-1. China and Canada are also 2-2, ready to fight for every point.

The Big Names Are Back

Three-time Olympian Erik Shoji and 2024 Olympian Micah Ma’a are making their 2025 debuts, bringing experience and grit. They're joined by 2020 Olympian Kyle Ensing. Jeff Jendryk is back too, ready to anchor the middle with his towering presence.

And there's fresh energy. Jacob Pasteur and Shane Holdaway are stepping into the VNL lineup, with Holdaway making his debut on the national team. They're here to make waves, not just fill spots.

Time to Flip the Script

The U.S. Men's Team is ranked No. 6 globally. They've got history on their side with four VNL medals, but it's time for gold. The world's top 18 teams are battling it out, and only the top eight will advance. That makes every set, every point crucial.

Karch Kiraly and his coaching staff know what's at stake. They’re not here to participate; they’re here to dominate. And just like that, the journey to the top begins at NOW Arena.

Get ready, because this isn’t just about wins. It’s about making a statement.
