This isn't just another spring match.
Penn State and Pitt are set to light up Rec Hall on April 9th. No ticket needed for this one, folks. Just show up and witness the fireworks.
REIGNING CHAMPS READY
The Nittany Lions are coming off a scorching 35-2 season, bagging their eighth national title. Katie Schumacher-Cawley didn't just make history; she owned it. First female head coach to lead an NCAA D1 women’s team to a championship. That's big time.
Izzy Starck is back, and you better believe she's still got that AVCA National Freshman of the Year swagger. Pair that with Gillian Grimes holding down the backcourt and Caroline Jurevicius on the right side, and you've got a squad that's no joke.
PITT'S POWERHOUSE
Don't sleep on Pitt. The Panthers have clawed their way to three straight National Semifinals. And they've got Olivia Babcock, last year's AVCA National Player of the Year. She's a problem on the right side. Trust me, Penn State knows it.
These teams met at the 2024 NCAA Championship. The Nittany Lions took that one, but Pitt's hungry for revenge. You could feel it coming.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This isn't a regular season game, but it might as well be with the talent on the court. Expect a high-octane clash where every set feels like a final.
And just like that, we're in for a treat. April 9th at Rec Hall. Be there or miss out.
That'll do it.
