The 2025 N.J. girls volleyball season was anything but ordinary. Old Bridge? They didn't just win. They took over.

Old Bridge's First State Crown

The Knights finished the season No. 1 in the NJ.com Top 20. Not by accident. By taking down Westfield in a five-set thriller for their first state championship. Remember 2022 when Westfield had the last laugh? Not this time.

Old Bridge powered through the NJSIAA Group 4 Final like seasoned champs. They snatched the CJG4 sectional and the GMC Tournament. Seven ranked wins and a 17-game win streak. Ashley Markle was a force. Her spikes? No answer for that.

Mother Seton's Milestone

Meanwhile, Mother Seton wasn't just watching from the sidelines. They claimed their first-ever state title, knocking out Montclair Kimberley 3-0 in the Non-Public B final. And they didn't stop there. They clinched the Non-Public B South by downing Rutgers Prep. An impressive season run for Tom Moran's squad.

The Coaches Speak

Coaches will soon unveil the All-Greater Middlesex Conference teams. You can bet names like Gladys Diaz De La Rosa and Aimee Han from J.P. Stevens will be in the mix. These players didn't just show up; they showed out.

Let's be real—Old Bridge set the bar high this year. And with Mother Seton making waves, the competition's fierce.

And from there… it was over.
