The Indy Ignite are on a rampage, folks. Nine wins out of their last ten matches is the kind of roll that has the rest of the league shaking in their knee pads. Their only hiccup? A five-set heartbreaker against the Omaha Supernovas on March 14. But with a 15-3 overall record and an .833 winning percentage, this team is built different.
Rise's Redemption Arc?
The Grand Rapids Rise might be licking their wounds after a rough patch, but don't count them out just yet. They pushed the mighty Ignite to four sets on February 6, with scores like 25-18 and 25-22 showing they've got that dog in them. Plus, they've got the indomitable Morgan Hentz. Fresh off her second MLV Player of the Week award, Hentz is out here proving she's not just any libero. She's the libero.
Hentz is one of only two liberos to ever snag the league's weekly honor, sharing that elite space with San Diego's Shara Venegas. The Rise snapped her up from the Supernovas in a trade that included Elena Oglivie and a 2026 first-round draft pick. Talk about a power move.
Omaha's Revenge Tour
The Omaha Supernovas are not here to play nice, y'all. They're the team that handed the Ignite their last loss, and they're looking to make it a habit. With Emily Londot being the first opposite to earn an MLV Weekly Award in 2026, Omaha's roster is looking snatched. Londot is the kind of player who can take your lunch money and score a kill at the same time.
Omaha's already got a 3-1 win over the Rise from January 24 tucked under their belts. They're coming into this weekend with main character energy, ready to make Grand Rapids relive that nightmare.
All-Star Hype
Heads up, volleyball junkies: The 2026 AdventHealth MLV All-Star Match is right around the corner. Hentz and Paige Briggs-Romine are repping the Rise, and they're about to remind everyone why they're All-Star material. Expect a showdown that’s off the chain with legends like Dan Meske and Beth Launiere calling the shots.
Indy, Omaha, and Grand Rapids are all set to clash in a weekend that could shuffle the standings and light a fire under some teams. Mark my words, this weekend is gonna be gnarly.
