Beach volleyball just got a serious upgrade.
The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) is taking its talents to CBS and CW. Two massive networks. A major leap for the sport.
Prime-Time Action
CBS Sports will air the 2025 AVP League Championship on August 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. The big stage for the big showdown. And that's not all. Matches throughout the season will pop up on CBS Sports Network.
Meanwhile, the CW is bringing the beach vibes to Saturday night. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, it's beach volleyball from 8 to 10 p.m. Robert Corvino, AVP's commissioner, nailed it: "These deals are going to provide a platform to get this incredible sport more consistency and in front of as many eyeballs as we possibly can."
Riding the Olympic Wave
With the 2024 Paris Olympics leaving volleyball fans craving more, AVP is ready to deliver. The sport's Olympic spotlight, with matches played next to the Eiffel Tower, has set the stage. Now, AVP teams like LA Launch and Miami Mayhem are primed to captivate the nation.
A League on the Rise
AVP's partnership with CBS and CW isn't just about more screens. It's about elevating the game. Joining the ranks of NASCAR, WWE, and ACC football on CW, and rubbing shoulders with the NFL and NCAA March Madness on CBS, beach volleyball is in elite company.
You could feel it coming. And just like that, AVP is set to explode. The sand is heating up. The stage is set.
That'll do it.
