The Atlanta Vibe? They're back. After weeks of frustration in the Pro Volleyball Federation, they flipped the script with back-to-back home wins that have them eyeing the playoffs.
Atlanta Emerges Victorious
Playing in front of a roaring home crowd at Gas South Arena, the Atlanta Vibe shook off a three-match losing streak. First up, a five-set thriller against the Vegas Thrill. The Vibe clinched it 3-2 (25-18, 25-20, 25-27, 20-25, 15-13). Leah Edmond was on fire, racking up 27 points with 25 kills and 2 aces. Pia Timmer and Khori Louis weren't far behind, adding 16 and 13 points respectively.
Leah Edmond said it best: "Playing at home with our fans' energy was a game-changer."
Beason Brings the Heat
Two days later, Atlanta handled business against the Indy Ignite. This time, they sealed the deal in four sets, winning 3-1 (25-23, 28-26, 22-25, 33-31). Edmond continued her dominance with 22 points, but Merritt Beason stepped up big time, dropping 19 points. The Vibe moved up to fourth place in the standings, now sitting at 8-8 and in the playoff zone.
