The ACC is not messing around this year. Seven teams from the conference are heading to the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Championship. That's right. Seven.
ACC's Power Surge
This isn't just about numbers. It's about dominance. The Louisville Cardinals, Pittsburgh Panthers, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are leading the charge. Louisville's been a powerhouse, riding high with a 27-2 record. Anna DeBeer and Aiko Jones have been straight up dominant, leaving opponents with no answer.
Georgia Tech? They've been a problem all season, with Julia Bergmann hammering down kills like it's too easy. And let’s not forget Pittsburgh's dynamic duo, Valeria Vazquez Gomez and Rachel Fairbanks, who've been putting on clinics every weekend.
The Dark Horses
Don't sleep on the underdogs. Miami, North Carolina, Florida State, and Duke are all in the mix too. Each has had flashes of brilliance, and you could feel it coming. Miami's Savannah Vach is running the show like a seasoned vet, and North Carolina’s Mabrey Shaffmaster? She's been unstoppable at the net.
Turning Points Ahead
The first and second rounds kick off December 4th through 6th. This is where it changed last year, and it could flip again. The pressure’s on, and these teams know what's at stake. Semifinals loom on December 18th, with the National Championship closing out on December 21st. Expect fireworks.
And just like that, the ACC’s presence is felt. You can bet these teams will be out to prove they’re no joke. Watch out, NCAA. The ACC is here to handle business.
