The ACC is no joke this year. Seven teams are diving into the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Championship, and they're not just making up numbers.
ACC's Big Guns
First up, Louisville Cardinals. They're coming in hot, riding a 27-2 record that screams "title contenders." With Anna DeBeer leading the charge, expect fireworks. She's been the backbone, with a hitting percentage that's straight up dominant.
But wait, there's more. Pitt Panthers, with their fearless leader Kayla Lund, are back in the mix. Lund's been a problem all season. Opponents? No answer for her. She’s the kind of player who can flip a match on its head.
Depth of Talent
Don't sleep on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets or Miami Hurricanes either. Both squads have shown they can handle business when it counts. Julia Bergmann from Georgia Tech has been putting on a clinic with her all-around game, while Miami's Elena Garcia is a defensive wall.
The Underdogs
Let's talk about the underdogs—Duke Blue Devils and Florida State Seminoles. Both teams have had their ups and downs, but pressure can create diamonds. Gracie Johnson from Duke has the potential to be a game-changer, while Florida State's Morgan Chacon is looking to make waves.
Looking Ahead
First and second rounds kick off December 4-6, and you can feel the anticipation. The regionals, set for December 11-14, will be the proving ground. And from there, it's a straight shot to the semifinals on December 18 and the ultimate showdown for the National Championship on December 21.
The ACC's showing up big time. And just like that, they're ready to shake things up. Watch out, this is where it changes.
