Hugh McCutcheon is a legendary figure in the world of volleyball, known for his strategic acumen and leadership skills. Born in New Zealand, McCutcheon made a significant impact on the international volleyball scene as a head coach. He first gained widespread recognition as the head coach of the U.S. Men's National Volleyball Team, leading them to a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. His success continued as he transitioned to coaching the U.S. Women's National Team, guiding them to a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.
After his international success, McCutcheon took his talents to the collegiate level, becoming the head coach of the University of Minnesota's women's volleyball team.
