Appeared in 24 sets over 9 matches in her redshirt freshman season, before a knee injury kept her out for the latter part of the season ... earned Academic All-Big Ten honors ... had 28 kills for the season, with 13 blocks ... made collegiate debut in a start at Northern Colorado in the season opener, and had 4 kills, including a kill for UW's first point of the season ... had first double-digit kills total in 3-2 win at Colorado State (8/30) with 10 on 22 swings ... season-high 6 blocks in the 3-0 win over Northern Iowa on 9/6.

High School and Personal: Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia before moving to Redondo Beach, Calif. … father is Daved Benefield and mother is AJ Benefield … Daved played professional football in the NFL and 13 seasons in the Canadian Football League, as well as in college at Cal State Northridge … has one older brother, Ty “Buck” Benefield who plays college football at Boise State … helped Redondo Union qualify for the CIF Division I state championships in 2022 and 2023, reaching the regional semifinals in 2023 … RUHS also made the Southern Section Division 2 semifinals in 2022 and 2023 … played club volleyball for Surfside VC, helping the team earn a bid to 2024 Open nationals at the NEQ in Philadelphia … considering a Business major.
