💣 BRITTANY ABERCROMBIE – Pro Volleyball’s Powerhouse Opposite Is Breaking Records and Redefining the Game

If you don’t know her name by now, you’re late to the party.

Brittany Abercrombie isn’t just putting up numbers — she’s rewriting the book on what it means to be an opposite hitter in the modern pro game.

From NCAA stardom to international battles, AU glory, and PVF firepower, she’s stacking accolades like it’s light work. And the scary part? She’s just getting started.

🏐 From Cali Killer to USC Royalty

Raised in Carlsbad, CA, Abercrombie was already a high school legend:

    • No. 4 national recruit via PrepVolleyball

    • CIF DII Champion

    • Straight dominance at La Costa Canyon High

Then came USC — and she made LA her kingdom:

    • 2x All-Pac-12

    • 2x AVCA All-Region

    • AVCA All-American (2017)

    • Led the Trojans while majoring in International Relations + Business. Brain + brawn.

🌍 Global Tour Before the U.S. Takeover

After USC, Abercrombie packed her passport and went full globetrotter:

    • 🇵🇱 Poland – Radomka Radom

    • 🇩🇪 Germany – SC Potsdam

    • 🇵🇷 Puerto Rico – Pinkin de Corozal + repped the national team

    • 🇹🇷 Turkey – Adam Volleyball

    • 🇰🇷 South Korea – IBK Altos

Every stop? She leveled up. That international seasoning? You can taste it in every swing she takes.

🏆 2024: AU CHAMPION. HISTORY MADE.

When Athletes Unlimited tipped off its 2024 season, people slept on her.
Then Abercrombie went full scorched earth.

    • AU Champion

    • First-ever opposite to win the title

    • 4,521 leaderboard points (insane)

    • Set records in:
        • Win points (2,020)

        • Stat points (2,001)

        • MVP points (500)

    • Double-digit kills in all 15 matches

    • Match MVP 11 times (3rd-most ever)

    • 13 total wins — league record

    • Captained her teams to a 10–2 run, including an 11-match heater to open the season

“It was a lot of hard work… it feels kind of unbelievable.”
Abercrombie, humble as ever after dropping the hammer

🐊 2025: PVF’s Opposite Nightmare

Then came the PVF — and she’s already doing damage with the Orlando Valkyries.

    • 🏆 PVF Championship with Orlando Valkeries (2025)

    • 🏅 PVF Player of the Year (2025)

    • 🔥 PVF Player of the Week (March 2025)

    • 💥 25 points / 24 kills in a 3-setter — new PVF record

    • 📈 11 kills in one set — tied league record

    • 💪 25-kill, 23-dig double-double in a five-set war vs. Atlanta

    • 7 double-doubles this season

    • Leading Orlando to an 8-match win streak

Let’s put it like this: if you’re game-planning for Orlando and don’t circle Brittany’s name — you’re already down 0–1.

🔬 The Abercrombie Effect

    • Terminal hitter.

    • Unshakable in the clutch.

    • Leads without ego.

    • Elevates every squad she touches.

Whether it’s a kill on match point or a perfectly timed dig, she shows up when it matters most. And her teams rally around her like she’s got gravity.

🏁 Final Serve

Brittany Abercrombie isn’t a breakout — she’s a blueprint.

Opposite hitters don’t usually get the spotlight. Brittany ripped the curtain off and built her own damn stage.

She’s got MVPs.
She’s got records.
She’s got the 🔥.
And she’s helping lead the charge as women’s pro volleyball explodes in the U.S.

AU queen. PVF assassin. Team captain energy. And she’s not done yet.
