Buckle up, volleyball fans. UC Davis just dropped their 2025 schedule and it's looking spicy.
THE BIG TESTS
Right off the bat, UC Davis is diving into the deep end. They're facing Pepperdine on August 29th at the Sacramento State Invitational. A solid test. But the real challenge? Heading to Wisconsin on September 4th. That's right, the Aggies are taking on a powerhouse in their own backyard. And just like that, the season's tone is set.
But don't stop there. September 14th marks a date with destiny at Stanford. You heard that right. The Cardinal. A team that plays chess when others are playing checkers. UC Davis will need to bring their A-game and then some.
THE HOME STRETCH
October brings a mix of home court advantage and tough road tests. UC Irvine and Long Beach State both come to town in early October. These teams aren't pushovers. UC Davis needs to handle business and protect their turf.
November is the final push. With games against CSUN and Cal State Bakersfield, the Aggies will look to build momentum heading into the Big West Conference Championships starting November 26th.
THE PLAYERS TO WATCH
Keep an eye on senior standout Emma Best. She's got the experience and the fire. If UC Davis is going to make a splash, Best will be the one leading the charge. Also, watch out for setter Hannah Smith. Her connection with hitters could flip matches in their favor.
The season's got its challenges, no doubt. But UC Davis isn't here to play it safe. They're here to make noise.
And from there... who knows?
UC Davis could just become the dark horse everyone talks about. That'll do it.
