Nebraska: Still the Top Dog

Nebraska isn’t just holding onto the top spot—they're owning it. After that AVCA First Serve Showcase, they look unbeatable. The Huskers took down two top-ten teams back-to-back. Harper Murray? Unreal. She went off with 23 kills on a .340 hitting percentage. And let's not forget the dynamic duo in the middle, both putting up 10 kills. Dani Busboom Kelly is playing chess, switching up her lineup like a pro.

The Huskers dropped the first two sets to Kentucky at the Broadway Block Party but flipped the match on its head. Reverse sweep? Check. Depth? Check. They're dominant—and everyone knows it.

Texas: Rising Fast

The Texas Longhorns are climbing—and fast. They handled business at the Opening Spike Classic, sweeping powerhouses like No. 8 Wisconsin and No. 12 Creighton. Cari Spears was a force, hitting .476 with 11 kills and two blocks against the Badgers. Their freshmen? Playing like seasoned vets. And the backcourt? Dangerous. Emma Halter and Ramsey Gary are racking up double-digit digs, making life tough for opponents.

Kentucky: More Than Meets the Record

Forget what the record says. Kentucky is a problem. They pushed Nebraska to the edge, controlling the first two sets with ease. Brooklyn Deleye and Eva Hudson combined for 42 kills. New setter Ava Sarafa is stepping in for Emma Grome, and it's still early days. Watch out for the Wildcats—they're legit.

Arizona State: The Surprise Package

Arizona State made a statement, jumping into the Power 10 with a huge win over No. 2 Penn State. Noemie Glover was on fire, racking up 22 kills and 10 blocks while hitting .372. Head Coach JJ Van Niel built something special, and it's paying off.

What’s Next?

With these teams, anything can happen. Nebraska's got the momentum, but Texas is on their heels. Kentucky's got some unfinished business. As for Arizona State? They're not done surprising us.

And just like that… the season's heating up.
