Texas A&M volleyball just flipped the script.
AGGIES ALL THE WAY
No. 3 Texas A&M took the 2025 NCAA DI national title, sweeping the floor with No. 1 Kentucky in a performance that screamed "why not us?" The Aggies turned the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City into their own playground. With a roaring crowd behind them, they pulled off a 26-24 comeback win in the first set.
Kentucky's .195 hitting? No match for the Aggies' firepower.
DOMINATION MODE: ACTIVATED
Momentum? Yeah, they had that. Riding high from the first, Texas A&M crushed Set 2, 25-15. Kentucky hit a woeful -.021, thanks to 12 forced errors. It wasn't just a win, it was a statement.
By the third set, the Aggies were in straight-up domination mode. A blazing 6-1 start set the tone. Logan Lednicky and Kyndal Stowers were unstoppable, combining for 21 kills. Stowers' .304 clip was just icing on the cake.
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS
Ifenna Cos-Okpalla was a wall at the net with four blocks, leading a defense that shackled Kentucky to a .148 hitting average. It was lights out for Big Blue.
The Aggies' journey? Legendary. Three straight No. 1 seeds—Nebraska, Pitt, and Kentucky—downed on their way to glory. Head Coach Jamie Morrison deserves a nod, wrapping up his AVCA Coach of the Year campaign with a national title bow.
STOWERS SHINES BRIGHTEST
Kyndal Stowers wasn't just the Most Outstanding Player; she was a problem for Kentucky. Her eight kills, two service aces, and one block in Set 3 sealed the deal.
A Texas-heavy roster and underdog spirit? The Aggies had the last word. "Why not Texas A&M?" Now it's "Who else but Texas A&M?"
That'll do it.
