When you're ranked No. 1, every match matters. For UCLA, this one was no different. They took on No. 6 Loyola Chicago and came out with a statement. A 3-0 sweep that left no room for debate.

RAMA RUNNING THE SHOW

Alex Rama? Simply unstoppable. The guy was on fire, leading the Bruins with a performance that said, "Yeah, we're the top dogs for a reason." His kills were on point, setting the tone from the get-go.

And just like that, UCLA took control.

LOYOLA HAD NO ANSWER

From the first serve, Loyola Chicago was scrambling. They had no answer for the Bruins' relentless attack. Despite a solid effort from their own stars, they couldn't keep up with UCLA's pace.

Coach John Speraw knew what was at stake. "We came in knowing they were a tough team, but we trusted our training and each other," he said post-match. That trust? It paid off.

A PERFECT START

With this win, UCLA now stands at 4-0, 1-0 in the MPSF. They’re not just winning; they’re dominating. This squad is not joking around, and if they keep playing like this, they’re going to be a problem for anyone in their way.

For Loyola, this was a wake-up call. 2-2 isn’t a terrible place to be, but they’ve got work to do if they want to tango with the big boys.

And from here… it's all about momentum.

Next up, UCLA faces another challenge, and you can bet they’ll be ready.

That'll do it.
