Undefeated in their last eight. Orlando Valkyries just took over the Pro Volleyball Federation. And they did it in style.

Taking Down the Champs

Thursday night, the Valkyries faced off against the reigning champs, Omaha Supernovas. On the road. In Nebraska. No problem. They swept the Supernovas 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 26-24). Brittany Abercrombie was a force. 25 points. 24 kills. One block. Straight up dominant. And Pornpun Guedpard? She was dishing out assists like they were going out of style. 43 total.

Home Sweet Home

Saturday, the Valkyries were back in Orlando. Already on top. But the Atlanta Vibe came to play. This one went the distance. After going up 2-0, the Valkyries had to fend off a Vibe comeback to win 3-2 (25-17, 25-18, 15-25, 19-25, 15-13). Abercrombie was once again unstoppable, adding another 26 points to her name. And how about Natalie Foster? 17 points, 12 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks. Not to mention another 55 assists from Pornpun.

The Bench Factor

Head coach Amy Pauly knows it's not just the stars. "The people that you guys aren’t seeing on the floor every night are the people that are making the team better," she said. Her bench players are pushing the starters in practice. And you can see the results.

With these two wins, the Valkyries now sit on top with a 10-4 record. The Supernovas bounce back with a sweep over the Indy Ignite but trail with a 9-4 record.

This is where it changed. Orlando is for real. Watch out, MLV. The Valkyries are coming.
