Omaha Supernovas: Ready for PVF Glory

The Omaha Supernovas have done it again. They just punched their ticket to the 2025 Pro Volleyball Federation Championship. Thursday's four-set win over the Vegas Thrill locked down their playoff spot. And if you're wondering, yes, they're the first team in the PVF to do so.

Defense Wins Titles

Let's talk defense. The Supernovas? A brick wall. Kaitlyn Hord is leading the charge with her league-best blocking. Omaha's averaging 2.61 blocks per set, putting them second in the PVF. Opponents are feeling the heat, and it's no surprise why.

Then there's Brooke Nuneviller, the Oregon sensation. She's lighting up the offensive stats, sitting solidly in the top six for both kills and digs. This duo? Not normal. They're the heartbeat of a team that's gone 14-3 since a rocky 2-2 start.

The Path to a Million

The Supernovas are set to defend their title in Las Vegas for the PVF Semifinals on Friday, May 9. It's a battle where only the top seeds survive. The No. 1 and No. 4 seeds face off at 7 p.m. CDT, followed by the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds at 9:30 p.m. The winners clash in the Championship "Match for a Million" on Sunday, May 11.

All eyes will be on Lee’s Family Forum, with national broadcasts on CBS Sports Network. And just like that, the stakes couldn't be higher.

Next Stop: San Diego

Before the big showdown, the Supernovas continue their west coast swing. They're up against the San Diego Mojo on Saturday, April 12 at Viejas Arena. First serve is at 8 p.m. CDT. You can catch the action live on the PVF YouTube Channel or tune into the Supernovas Radio Network.

Omaha's got the momentum, the talent, and the hunger. Can they handle business and bring home another title? You could feel it coming.

That'll do it.
