Nebraska volleyball? Straight up dominant. The Huskers pulled no punches, smashing Michigan with a decisive 25-18, 25-13, 25-18 victory at the Crisler Center. This win marked their ninth straight Big Ten sweep. Yeah, you felt that coming.
Nebraska's Defense Show
Bergen Reilly ran the show, dishing out 28 assists while the Huskers' defense was rock solid. Andi Jackson was a wall with six blocks, and Rebekah Allick added five in just two sets. Michigan's offense had no answer, hitting a miserable .079, their worst performance of the season.
"We took advantage," said Coach Dani Busboom Kelly. "Andi had a spectacular game."
Michigan's Struggle
Michigan led early in each set but couldn't maintain the pressure. The Wolverines had their lowest hitting percentage against Nebraska, with Ella Demetrician leading with just nine kills. Allison Jacobs struggled, finishing with more errors than kills.
The Huskers' defense was suffocating, forcing Michigan into uncomfortable positions. When Nebraska went on runs, like a 7-0 burst in the second set, it was game over.
Nebraska's Offensive Firepower
Harper Murray was electric in front of a home-state crowd, leading Nebraska with nine kills, an ace, and two blocks. The Huskers hit .390 for the match, showcasing their balanced attack.
Nebraska's win wasn't just another victory. It was a statement. Nine sweeps in a row? That's big time.
And just like that, Nebraska keeps rolling. Who's going to stop them? Right now, it looks like nobody.
