Nebraska Handles Cal with Ease

Nebraska volleyball isn't just playing games. They're making statements. The No. 1 Huskers improved to 6-0 with a straight-set sweep over California. Final scores? 25-15, 25-18, 25-12. And yeah, they never even trailed.

Murray Leads the Charge

When Harper Murray is on, there's no stopping her. She hammered down 14 kills, picked up 7 digs, and topped it off with 3 aces. That's big time.

But she wasn't alone. Andi Jackson was right there, posting a season-high 12 kills on .450 hitting with 4 blocks. When your middle is putting up those numbers, the other team? No answer.

Defense Wins Games

Nebraska's defense was a wall. Held Cal to a pitiful .088 hitting percentage. And let's talk blocks. Nine to Cal's three. Straight up dominant.

Rebekah Allick and Teraya Sigler chipped in with their own highlights. Allick had 6 kills and 4 blocks while Sigler added 5 kills and 10 digs.

Set the Tone Early

Set 1 saw Laney Choboy serve the Huskers to a 5-0 start. Cal tried to fight back, but Murray and Virginia Adriano shut that down fast. An 8-6 lead turned into a 25-15 win, thanks to a 7-0 run. Bergen Reilly's solo block and kill sealed it.

Set 2 was more of the same. Jackson's three kills and a block got things rolling. Murray continued her onslaught, pushing the lead to 16-8. Allie Sczech joined the block party, and a kill from Allick ended it 25-18.

Set 3? Forget about it. An 8-1 start and it was over. Jackson and Murray kept swinging, and by the time Allick and Sczech threw up a double block, it was 14-4. Final score: 25-12.

The Road Ahead

Next up, Nebraska faces Utah on Friday and Grand Canyon on Saturday. With this kind of performance, you could feel it coming. Another sweep? Don't bet against it.
