Florida managed what five others couldn't: take a set from No. 7 Wisconsin. But in the end, the Badgers walked away with a 19-25, 25-22, 25-20, 36-34 victory. This match? Chaos. The good kind.

Colyer's Comeback Story

Mimi Colyer had a rough start. First set, only one kill, three errors, hitting a minus-.200. Not the kind of numbers you expect from the Big Ten leader in kills per set. But you could feel it coming. Colyer turned it around, racking up a season-high 27 kills, hitting .339 by the match's end. That's third in the Wisconsin record books for kills in a four-set match during the 25-point rally scoring era.

Coach Kelly Sheffield summed it up: “I’m not sure that Set 1 could have gone too much worse for her. And then being able to dig out of that... that's what leaders do.” Colyer agreed, saying, “Our passing got a lot better... I think Charlie (Fuerbringer) did a really good job at spreading the offense.”

Fourth Set Marathon

The fourth set? A war. 19 ties, 9 lead changes, and 36-34 on the scoreboard. Neither team gave an inch, but Wisconsin had the edge. The Badgers fended off seven set points from the No. 15 Gators, showing grit and skill.

“We proved we can also get in the mud and go point for point with a team,” said middle blocker Carter Booth. This wasn't just a win. This was a statement. When you're running low on subs and energy, and you're up into the 30s, it's not just about skill. It's about heart.

The Kohl Center was electric, with a season-high crowd of 12,277 fans fueling the fire. Wisconsin's sixth consecutive win and third ranked win of the 2025 season was no joke.

And from there... it was over. The Badgers head into Big Ten play battle-tested and ready.

That'll do it.
