One week in, and we've already got a rankings shake-up. Lynn University is holding it down at No. 1, and they aren't budging. 4-0 record? Straight up dominant. Angelo State follows closely, also at 4-0. But the real story? The rise of MSU Denver and the fall of San Francisco State.
Rising Stars
MSU Denver jumped from sixth to third. That's what a perfect start looks like—4-0, and they're not done climbing. Central Oklahoma and West Texas A&M also slid into the top five, both flaunting flawless records. You could feel it coming.
Meanwhile, Washburn made waves, leaping from 22nd to 12th. Winning all four matches and dropping zero sets? That's big time.
The Downfall of Giants
The shocker? San Francisco State. From fourth to 23rd after an 0-4 start. Ouch. They're dealing with a roster overhaul, but let's be real, they need to adjust fast.
Chaminade also took a hit, falling from ninth to 24th. Not ideal, but hey, 29 consecutive weeks in the rankings is no joke.
The Drama Continues
St. Cloud State? Started at third, now sitting at tenth. Two losses on the road set them back, but their home stretch could flip the script again.
This is where it gets interesting. Week two is going to reveal who's settling in and who's still got work to do.
And just like that, the season's heating up.
