O’Neal’s Night
O’Neal was on fire. She racked up 19 points with 17 kills and two blocks. You could feel it coming. Her chemistry with setter Brie O’Reilly was electric. “Brie and I have done a really good job at working together and giving each other trust in one another,” O’Neal said. And it showed.
Momentum Swings
This match? Chaos. The good kind. LOVB Austin took the first set 25–22, thanks to Skinner shutting down Atlanta’s late push. Then, Atlanta struck back, taking the second set 25–21. But Austin wasn’t having it. They blitzed Atlanta in the third with a 25–14 win. This is where it changed.
Crunch Time
Fourth set? Atlanta fought back, taking it 25–21. But the fifth set belonged to Austin. They seized control early, with Skinner and O’Neal leading with three kills each. Austin sealed it 15–13. “Our ball control has been really nice,” O’Neal added, and it opened up their offense.
Looking Ahead
Austin’s now 5–3 and looking strong. Next up, they face Houston. Expect more fireworks. With O’Neal and Skinner handling business, they’re a problem. Straight up.
