LOVB Austin is all about the drama this season. Another five-set saga, another win. This time, it was LOVB Atlanta who felt the heat at the H-E-B Center.
Austin's Homecoming
Eric Sullivan couldn't have scripted a better return home. "It feels like we haven't played here in a while, so it's nice to be back," Sullivan said. And boy, did his team deliver. The battle of momentum swings ended with Austin clinching a 25-22, 21-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-13 victory.
Key Players Took Over
Madison Skinner didn't just play, she dominated. Her 23 points came with 21 kills and some clutch defense. But let's not forget Asjia O'Neal. Named Player of the Match, she racked up 19 points, including 17 kills. "Brie [O’Reilly] and I have done a really good job at working together," O'Neal noted. Trust like that? Unstoppable.
Turning Points
The third set was a clinic. Madi Banks fired up the team with crucial kills, and Austin ran the show, holding Atlanta to just 14. But Atlanta wasn't going quietly. They took the fourth set, pushing Austin to find that extra gear.
