There’s a storm brewing in the islands—and its name is Kristian Titriyski.

Freshman. Outside hitter. Sofia-born sniper.
And right now? He’s the coldest finisher in the NCAA.

🌊 Rookie? Nah. Problem.

At just 18, Titriyski is putting up grown-man numbers:

  • Leads Hawai‘i in kills (4.20/set), points (5.13/set), and aces (0.54/set)

  • Top 10 nationally in all three categories

  • AVCA National Player of the Week (March 2025)

  • Multiple Big West awards (Offensive + Freshman of the Week)

He’s the first UH freshman to win AVCA National POW since 2013.
Let that sink in.

🔥 Statement Series: vs. No. 3 UC Irvine

He didn’t just show up.
He showed OUT:

  • 17 and 19 kills in back-to-back matches

  • .417 hitting against one of the top defenses in the country

  • Averaged 6.00 kills & 7.00 points per set

Freshman? Sure. But that was veteran takeover energy.

🎯 Scouting Report: Volume, Poise, Pain

  • International rep for Bulgaria’s youth national teams

  • Plays like a 5th-year senior, but with a better highlight reel

  • Doesn’t flinch on the road (ask BYU fans how that went)

“Kristian is a special talent—already one of the best outsides in the country.”— Hawai‘i Coaching Staff

“He rises to every occasion and never shies away from the big moment.”— Local Media

🧠 Built Different

Titriyski isn’t loud. He doesn’t need to be.
He lets the scoreboard do the talking.
And right now? It’s yelling:

THIS KID IS NEXT.

🏁 Final Serve

There’s no easing in. No learning curve.
Kristian Titriyski came to Hawai‘i to take over, and he’s already halfway there.

Opposing teams: good luck game-planning for him.
Fans: memorize the name.
Because the Bulgarian breakout is here — and the NCAA might not be ready.
