The SEC volleyball tournament is back after a 20-year break, and it's bringing the heat. Kentucky Wildcats, ranked No. 2 nationally, have been straight up dominant, cruising through conference play undefeated. Their dynamic duo, Eva Hudson and Brooklyn DeLeye, are nightmares for opponents. But can they handle the pressure?
The Favorites and the Challengers
Kentucky isn't the only team with eyes on the prize. Texas A&M, the No. 2 seed, and Texas, the 2022 and 2023 national champions, are ready to flip the script. The Lone Star squads have what it takes to challenge the Wildcats. And just like that, the SEC tournament could become anyone's game.
The Road to Glory
The action unfolds in Savannah, Georgia, at Enmarket Arena. With all 16 SEC teams in the mix, the tournament runs from Nov. 21-25. Early rounds saw some shakeups. Oklahoma knocked out Arkansas 3-1, while Alabama sent South Carolina packing with the same score.
Saturday's second round was no joke. Auburn edged out Oklahoma in a five-set thriller. Florida swept Alabama with a 3-0 win. Meanwhile, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss pulled off upsets against higher seeds Georgia and Missouri.
Clashing Titans
Quarterfinals were all about proving who's for real. Kentucky dismissed Auburn 3-0, Tennessee took down Florida 3-1, Texas A&M crushed Vanderbilt 3-0, and Texas steamrolled Ole Miss 3-0.
The semifinals were set. Kentucky faced Tennessee, winning 3-1. Over on the other side, Texas toppled Texas A&M 3-1. And now, the championship showdown: Kentucky vs. Texas. This is where it changed.
The Final Showdown
Tuesday's championship promises fireworks. Kentucky's perfect run vs. Texas's championship pedigree. Can Hudson and DeLeye lead Kentucky to glory, or will Texas's experience shine through? The SEC Network and Fubo have you covered.
Get ready. This one's for all the marbles.
