The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos just dropped their 2026 schedule, and it's a volleyball fan's dream. This isn't just another season; it's a volleyball gauntlet.

Big West Battles

Get ready for the Gauchos to throw down in The Big West. They kick off at home with the ASICS Invitational at Rob Gym. Kentucky State (Jan. 8), Maryville (Jan. 9), and Harvard (Jan. 10) better be ready. This is just the beginning.

Home court advantage? They've got it. The Gauchos will debut at the Thunderdome against The Master's University on Jan. 16. But the real test? A coastal brawl with Stanford on Jan. 22-23. Circle those dates.

Clashes with Contenders

Next up, a showdown with BYU on Jan. 29-30. It's the Mountain versus Ocean clash. Two national contenders, one court. The Gauchos are bringing the heat.

February starts with trips to face Cal Lutheran and USC—remember, USC was the 2025 MPSF runner-up. Then it's a California tour with Pepperdine twice, both in Malibu and at the Thunderdome.

March Madness

March brings UCLA (Feb. 25) to Santa Barbara, a team fresh off a runner-up finish in the 2025 NCAA Championship. No easy matches here. The Gauchos then face UC San Diego and UC Irvine in crucial Big West battles. Every serve counts.

And then there's Hawai'i. A trip to the islands on Mar. 27-28. It's a must-watch.

Eyes on the Prize

April will see the Gauchos back home against CSUN before heading out for a rematch. But the real focus? The Big West Championships in Irvine. Rick McLaughlin, in his 18th year as head coach, knows this team can make a deep run.

This schedule isn't just about matches. It's a statement. Gauchos are here to compete. And you can feel it coming.
