The 2025 DII women's volleyball championship is here, and things are about to get wild. Eight regions, one goal: a ticket to Sioux Falls for the national quarterfinals. Let's talk shop.

Gannon's Grip

Gannon Golden Knights. If you're in the Atlantic Region, you know this name. Since 2016, it's been Gannon at the top, consistently grabbing the No. 1 or No. 2 seed. But after a loss to East Stroudsburg in the PSAC championship, the Knights enter the tournament with a chip on their shoulder. With a 24-7 record and an insane 54-7 home record over five years, the host seed is theirs. But can they hold on?

Warriors on the Rise

The East Stroudsburg Warriors aren't just in the mix; they're making noise. The No. 2 seed, fresh from toppling Gannon, has a favorable first-round matchup against No. 7 Charleston (WV). This could be the momentum they need. A win here, and the Warriors might just become the region's new powerhouse.

Central Command

Heading to the Central Region, it's Nebraska-Kearney's world, and we're just living in it. The Lopers are riding a hot streak with a 29-3 record. Peyton Neff? A force. She just snagged her fourth-straight First-Team All-MIAA honor. They're 9-1 against tournament teams this year. Destiny? They own it.

But watch out for Concordia-St. Paul. With nine national titles and head coach Brady Starkey at the helm, they're no strangers to pressure. Their first-round dominance is legendary. Expect fireworks.

Bentley's Flight

In the East, Bentley Falcons are soaring high. 24-4, on a 20-game winning tear, and boasting stars like Elizabeth Blinn, NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, and Tory Vitko, Setter of the Year. Bentley is the team to beat, but American International might have something to say. They've danced this dance before; experience counts.

The stage is set. From here, it's all about who wants it more. Expect the unexpected.

That'll do it.
