Eastern Illinois just shifted gears.

Five transfers are joining the Panthers for 2025. Ryan Millar, the head coach, isn't messing around. He’s bringing in players with experience and potential, and it’s about to get interesting.

New Faces, New Potential

Meet the new squad members: Giorgia Cappelletti, Anaya Rawlinson, Jasmyne Boone, Alex Dever, and Sydney Javes. These names aren't just filling a roster. They're bringing depth and skill.

Cappelletti, from Fermo, Italy, is no stranger to the spotlight. She earned third team Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors at Georgian Court University. At 5-10, she's got the height and the hits.

Then there's Sydney Javes, a 6-4 powerhouse from Frederick, Colorado. Coming off a redshirt season, she averaged 0.90 kills per set in 2024 at Stonehill College. She’s got the potential to flip matches.

Defensive Boost

On the defensive end, Alex Dever from Dallas, Texas, is stepping in. She racked up 72 digs in 19 matches last season at Saint Francis University. With 11 service aces to her name, she’s ready to disrupt opponents’ plans.

Jasmyne Boone and Anaya Rawlinson round out this versatile group. They’re bringing fresh energy and competition to the court.

What's Next?

The Panthers open their 2025 campaign with a home exhibition against Illinois State on August 23. Expect these new additions to make waves.

Let's be real... this roster shake-up is big time. EIU isn’t just adding players—they’re crafting a new identity.

And from there… it was over.
