The University of Cincinnati just dropped a bombshell. Seven new signees for the 2026-27 season. This isn't just a roster update. It's a statement.
Building a Powerhouse
Head coach Danijela Tomić is on a mission. "This group brings a balance of size, skill, athleticism, and competitive drive," Tomić said. Translation? They're here to win. Right from the get-go, these athletes will elevate Cincinnati's program.
Meet the Signees
Malayna Boyles, Julia Horan, Lily Rolfes, Audrey Rome, Viktoria Ninova, Kayla Edginton, and Andrea Simovski are the names you need to remember. Each one a powerhouse in their own right.
Simovski, coming off a season with 277 kills and 238 digs, was a standout at her previous program. "Andrea is a true six-rotation outside hitter who aligns perfectly with what we are building at UC," Tomić added. That's big time.
Championship Mentality
These players aren't just talented—they're winners. Kayla Edginton already helped her club team capture the Charm City Championship and placed ninth at the USA Girls Junior National Championship. "Kayla knows how to elevate a team," Tomić said. You could feel it coming.
And then there's Lily Rolfes, an athletic setter with leadership in her DNA. Raised by a former player and coach, she brings a high volleyball IQ and a knack for running the show.
The Future is Bright
Cincinnati isn't just adding players; they're building a dynasty. This class isn't about filling spots. It's about elevating every position and pushing for a championship future.
Keep your eyes on Cincinnati. With this new class, they're not just playing to compete—they're playing to dominate. That'll do it.
