🏖️ 2025 AVP PALM BEACH OPEN – Night Lights, Rising Stars, and a Bracket Ready to Blow Up

Palm Beach is about to bring the heat.

From May 23–25, the AVP is hitting Florida’s east coast with the Palm Beach Open, the second big stop in the 2025 season — and this Contender Event is primed for upsets, breakouts, and beach volleyball chaos under the lights.

We’ve got energy. We’ve got atmosphere. And we’ve got a lineup full of vets vs. hungry underdogs looking to make names and ruin brackets. And the AVP are backing up the sand trucks.

Let’s dive into it. ⬇️

📍 EVENT DETAILS

  • Dates: May 23–25, 2025
  • Venue: Delray Beach Tennis Center, Palm Beach, FL
  • Format: Modified Pool Play → Single Elim Knockout
  • Opening Night: Friday, 5–10 p.m.
  • Fan Event: Meet the Palm Beach Passion at 5:30 p.m.

AVP’s bringing Friday night lights to the sand, and if you know the Florida crowd, you know the vibes will be LOUD.

🔥 WHO TO WATCH

🏠 PALM BEACH PASSION (Home Team Heat)

They’re local. They’re loud. And they’ll have the crowd behind them all weekend. Look for home-court energy to be a legit factor — especially in close matches.

🏆 AVP MAIN DRAW STARS

Top AVP duos who made noise at Huntington Beach last week will be looking to go back-to-back. Keep your eyes on:

  • Miles Partain & Andy Benesh — men’s champions in Surf City and looking absolutely locked in. Precision setting, world-class blocking, and unbeatable chemistry.
  • Kristen Nuss & Taryn Brasher — women’s winners at Huntington with a defensive wall and a side of swagger. Their Huntington Beach sweep sent a message — they’re the team to beat.

🚀 BREAKOUT WATCH: RISING TEAMS FROM QUALIFIERS

Contender Events = Opportunity. Every year, these events launch a couple new duos into the spotlight. Keep your eyes on the sand — because someone you haven’t heard of yet is about to take out a top seed.

Pro tip: Don’t underestimate the late Friday momentum teams. Night matches hit different.

🎯 WHAT MAKES THIS STOP DIFFERENT

Modified Pool Play Format
→ More matches. More mayhem. Fewer one-and-done exits. Increases the upset potential big time.

Evening Matches Under the Lights
→ Cool air. Hot energy. This is Florida volleyball after dark.

Fan-First Experience
→ Player meet-ups, community engagement, and a tournament that feels like a festival.

Early-Season Impact
→ Palm Beach will shape the rankings going into Manhattan Beach, Chicago, and more. Momentum matters — and points earned here will be crucial.

📺 HOW TO WATCH

🎟️ In person: Delray Beach Tennis Center
📲 Online: Streaming + live scores via AVP’s official platforms

Whether you’re in the stands or tuning in from the beach chair at home — you’ll feel this one.

🏁 FINAL SERVE

Palm Beach might be a Contender Event on paper… But on the court? This thing could shift the AVP landscape.

This weekend’s all about grinding early, peaking late, and proving you belong. And for the athletes chasing the top tier — this is the springboard.

Palm Beach. Under the lights. All gas. No layups.
