A middle blocker hailing from Cerritos, California, Onye Ofoegbu joins LOVB Atlanta after a stellar volleyball college career at University of Oregon and UC Irvine. She led the Ducks in blocks and finished third in kills during the 2024 season, earning Third Team AVCA All-American honors. While at UC Irvine, Ofoegbu earned 2022 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and was named to the AVCA All-Pacific South Region Team. She was a two-time Big West Offensive Player of the Week and second in the Big West with a .372 hitting percentage and led the Big West with a season high of 143 total blocks at UCI. During her freshman year, she was named to the 2019 Big West All-Freshman Team. Before college, Ofoegbu played for Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball Club in her home state of California.
